A message from Chelsea
Hi There!
I’m Chelsea. Lover of Jesus, Wife, Mother, Teacher, Organiser, Creative, and now... Business Owner. What a ride! Month of Sundays is my passion project and what I feel like God has put me on this earth for. I'm so excited to see you and your family encouraged and inspired to weave more of the Christian faith into your everyday lives.
Month of Sundays has been born out of my own search for an Australian subscription box for Christian families. In 2019, I spent months searching online for a Christian subscription box that I could ask the Grandparents to buy my children for Christmas. I was working part-time, as well as volunteering, cooking, caring, cleaning and all of the rest, and really felt guilty for not focusing as much as I wanted to on teaching my kids about Jesus. I thought a monthly subscription box was the perfect solution to help my kids learn more about God in an exciting way, and avoid yet another influx of plastic toys every birthday and Christmas that would soon end up in landfill. When I finally realised that such a business didn’t exist yet in Australia, I felt God drop the dream into my heart that I could be the one to make it happen!
It's clear to me how important it is to support parents as they endeavour to raise their kids to love the Lord, because I know that I, and most of my Christian parent friends, need as much help as we can get! I'm learning as we go on the same journey as you - trying to weave that little bit more of the Christian faith into my family's everyday life so that my kids grow to know and love the Lord in a genuine, life-changing and world-changing way.
Now after 12 months of preparation and hard work from the team, Month of Sundays is here and ready to serve you and your family.
The Team
Chelsea has had a varied career til now, as a teacher with a focus on English and the Arts, a decade in youth work, and many years in events and services coordination at a large contemporary church. Month of Sundays is a culmination of all her talents and a passion for parenting that has grown as she has begun raising her own family with her husband and two small children in Melbourne, Australia.
Chelsea is supported by a small team who collaborate on each month’s content, including Amelia Pickering who has a Master’s in Theology and is an experienced Children’s Pastor, Lecturer, Speaker and Trainer.
The Collective
Just like no two children are the same, we believe that no two families are identical either. That's why in our subscription boxes we provide an array of ideas and suggestions that cater for all of the unique individuals and families the use Month of Sundays.
We are also building a team behind the scenes at Month of Sundays who are providing us with their stories, ideas, examples and testimonies that we can use to inspire our community of parents. This group of parents are called the Month of Sundays Collective, and each of them are faith-filled believers who have been intentional in raising their kids to love and follow God. They are by no means perfect, but that's the point. We want to share real, honest and powerful stories of Christian parenting triumphs and failures, so that you can find inspiration and revelation in your own parenting journey. You will find their stories throughout our Parent Guides, Blogs and on Social Media.
